🚗 By Car: Flexible Travel from the South to the Far North
Traveling with your own car through southern Sweden is the beginning of your adventure. Whether you choose the relaxed crossing with one of the ferries (e.g., from Rostock, Travemünde, or Kiel) or prefer the route via those impressive technical masterpieces—the Storebælt and Öresund Bridges—you maintain maximum flexibility.
Our Tip: Book your ferry tickets or bridge tolls (e.g., via ØresundGO) online in advance to avoid waiting times. From southern Sweden, the E4 leads you further and further north, past lakes and deep forests, until you reach the Arctic wilderness.
Prefer to travel without your own car? No problem! Many of our guests fly to the north and rely on the freedom of a rental car. Since distances up here are vast, we are happy to assist you in organizing a suitable vehicle through our local partners. Just let us know when you make your inquiry!
✈️ Fast-track to the North: Arriving by Plane
The quickest way to start your getaway is by air. Typically, you will fly via Stockholm-Arlanda (ARN) directly to the airports in Luleå (LLA) or Skellefteå (SFT). From there, you are only about a 60 to 90-minute drive away from your vacation home.
To stay mobile and fully enjoy the breathtaking nature of Northern Sweden, a rental car is your best option. Since long-distance planning can sometimes be tricky, we are happy to assist you: we can help arrange a suitable vehicle through our local partners.

🚂 By Train: Your Adventure Begins on the Tracks
Traveling by train to Älvsbyn is one of the most comfortable and environmentally friendly ways to reach the high north. The Swedish night train from Stockholm is especially popular: you fall asleep in the south and wake up in the midst of Northern Sweden's untouched nature.
The train station in Älvsbyn is well-connected to the national rail network and is located in the heart of our region. The journey itself is an experience—sit back and enjoy the passing forests and lakes.
How to get from the station to us: To ensure you arrive stress-free, we are happy to support you with the final leg. Taxis are available in Älvsbyn, and there are bus connections to the surrounding area. Upon request, we are also happy to organize a personal transfer for you. Just let us know how you are arriving before your trip—we will make sure you land safely with us!
